Wake up Sid!

I usually do not watch much of hindi movies but if I believe one is good then I definitely will watch it. However good a movie is I watch it only once but I watched this movie twice. I loved it so much. I do not like watching Karan Johar's films either but this one which is produced by him received my accolades. I had the feeling that Wake up Sid would be a good movie since it bore similarites to Dil Chahta hai and Lakshya both directed by Farhan Akhtar and both derived out from his life. I will not give you the review of the movie Wake up Sid since they are too many already being circulated around. Three things I loved about this film was firstly Ranbir Kapoor's acting which was brilliant throughout the film. I guess heres a star in the making. Secondly I loved the song Iktara I havent stopped listening to it. The third thing I loved about the film was that of the love for the city of Bombay which I could relate to. Bombay is indeed a city of dreams. It has indeed been a brilliant effort both by the cast and the crew. Watch the film and you won't be disappointed.

Anupam Kher

I had watched an interview of Anupam Kher in the television programme Aap ki Adalat where Anupam Kher mentioned that he did not come from a very well to do family. Once a while his father took him to an expensive restaurant and treated him with keema samosa. It was a big thing for their family to go and eat in such a restaurant. When Anupam was a school going child he had failed in one of his exams. His father took him to this restaurant and treated him with keeme wali samosa. Anupam ate his heart out and was satisfied but was confused and asked his father why did he treat him so after knowing that he had failed. His father looked at him and told him I did this so that you may never have the fear of failure.

Bonita's word towards me

I asked Bonita if she thought I could keep a woman happy and without missing a beat she said, And I say yes if you get what you want in a woman you'll give your life for her because you are a caring person, you are a loving person. You may not want to show it but you are. Only thing is that you are an angry person and you need to be patient.

Friendship

The most interesting relationship in the world is that of a friendship. Friends make you laugh, they support you whenever needed. They discuss their problems, share stories about their love lives, jokes and their sad stories. The bible says in Prov 18:24 that there is a friend that sticks closer than a brother. Friends understand us and forgive us whenever we offend them. They build us up whenever we are down. We have memories of our closest friends and those wonderful moments we share with them. Growing up I had too many friends. In the boarding, college, parish and my neighbourhood. Those were some great moments in life. Some of my closest friends that I have always interacted with and shall never forget are Anselm Farro from the boarding, Rohan from Goregaon, Neville from St. Andrew's. These are some of my closest pals. I have spent more time with friends than anyother in my entire life. But then one fact remains that no matter how close you are to a person/friend they never stick with you for long. There comes a time in life when you have to say goodbye which is not pleasant. But then one cannot do anything about it. You have to carry on in life. Old friends leave us and new ones enter into our lives. Salute to the most cherished relationship in the world according to me. Bombay meri jaan

Bombay my home. I love this city. I miss those days where I used to climb up a crowded train and come out all messed up. Drinking sugarcane juice along the roadside, eating ragda pattice. Walking miles and miles without getting tired. Drinking beer and getting drunk. Not one minute of my time goes boring. I love every moment of my time spent there. Such is the city of Bombay. I do not know anything about the spirit of Bombay and all that but there is not going to be a place like it. I miss my city lots.

Compassion of Jesus

I remember watching the movie Ben Hur which went on to win 11 Oscars. There are two scenes in the movie that stick out. The first scene is where Ben Hur is taken captive across the desert and when brought to an oasis pleads for water. The centurion on guard warns that no one will serve water to Ben Hur. Then about that time Jesus steps in and feeds him water. A few years later Jesus carries his cross across the streets of Jerusalem. He falls beneath the weight of the cross and here comes Ben Hur and serves him water.

Jesus was compassionate toward people. The bible tells us that whenever he saw poor and sick people he felt sorry for them. He went about doing good. That is the character of God both kind and compassionate. There is something we can learn from.

Have you ever thought about it? A loving touch could make a person's day. A caring touch can bring a smile to a persons face. A hug could turn around a person's attitude. We are all psychological beings and we all crave for that moment where someone touches us with that kind, gentle and soft touch that makes us believe there is someone who stands by us. Someone who loves us. Yes sexual touch is another way of making us believe we belong. But I am not talking about that kind of touch instead I am talking about non sexual gestures. A touch could take various forms like holding somebodys hand, hugging someone, kissing someone on their cheeks or foreheads. These mean a lot to somebody who knows you care. Learn to give a loving touch to your husband/wife, parents/kids, friends and all those who mean the world to you. A loving touch ensures the person you love that they are cared for.

Health

There are many bed bugs in our home. In order to prevent these bugs to enter my ears while asleep I plug in some tissue in them. Not big particles but small ones. Day before yesterday in the night one small piece of tissue went into one of my ears. I tried to remove it using a pen but instead it went all the way in. Then I poured some water into it. But in vain. The next day my right ear began feeling heavy. I began saying to myself every now and then The tissue will come out smoothly. The tissue will come out of my ears easily. After much running around between hospitals I finally got it plugged off. Thank you Jesus....
