Marriage
Love between a husband and a wife. How must be the relationship between a husband and a wife. A love relationship that is. It must be pure, friendly and trustworthy. A marriage relationship must involve talk, laughter and incredibly funny moments. I believe a married life must not be dull and boring but full of life. Romance must be the norm in a married life. Holding hands, kissing often, embrace, leaning the head over each others shoulders, resting heads on the lap, spending time together on dates. Walking on the beach, going to church together, having candle light dinners, massaging her back, giving her flowers. Making love must be a selfless experience trying to please each others physical needs instead of our own.

Law of Attraction
Law of attraction states that what you continually think about you bring about. If you think about a particular thing now and again you tend to attract it toward you. Just like a magnet attracts iron or magnetic particles. I can give a first hand account for the same. For about 6 years of my life I did nothing but stayed at home. One fine day on a christian television I saw where they spoke about dreams and writing about achieving your dreams, planning them and so on. I wrote a goal for myself that I will stand on my feet within the next two months. It was February 11, 2005. All that time I just kept telling myself that I will stand on my feet and I did. One fine day I came to Gulf Bank and I gave my interview to the GM of HR. On March, 27 Easter day I came and signed my contract with Gulf Bank. I joined Gulf Bank on the 10th of April exactly two months after my written down goal. These laws actually work for you if you only focus over it.
Good Father
Most fathers are fathers only for name sake. They are so on top of the world when their little child is born. They spend a lot of time playing with their child. They buy them gifts and so on. But when the child grows old they tend to forget to cater towards the emotional needs of their child. Granted a good father is one who is a good provider for the family but then he should take time to talk to and listen to the child. How was the day of the child at school. What did he or she do. Inquire as to which are their favorite subjects, who is their favorite teacher and who are their best friends, What are their favorite sports and so on. Let the child know that he or she is important. Eat with the child. The child will eat along with the father and soon grow healthy as opposed to children who do not like to eat at all when eating alone. A child must always be encouraged where the father tells the child I love I care for you I believe in you. I am always there for you. Even if you are in a problem I am always there. Hug the child every now and then. Show in actions that you love him or her. The child will grow to be confident and will have a sense of security that somebody cares. Give necessary things to the child not everything he wants so as to spoil the child. Chocolates and sweets only once a while not every time. The child must be encouraged by telling him that he is the best. he can do anything he wants to do. There is nothing he cannot do. Pray with him. Go to church with him. Read the bible with him. The child will grow to be emotionally strong and loved.

My achievement
I was in the 9th standard where Miss Caroline used to take our tuitions for Algebra. I was weak in the subject. Just before our first term exams could begin Fr.Leslie told us that he would give us a test. If we passed the test we could continue with Miss Caroline's tuitions but if we failed he would teach us but with a fine of Rs 100 and we would have to continue with Miss Caroline at the same time. If we got above 60 % in the first term exams in the paper then he would refund our Rs. 100 back but keep the Rs. 50. So I gave the test and failed. Then he began teaching us. I liked the way he taught us. Every study time I spent studying only one subject and that was Algebra. The only reason being I wanted my Rs. 100 back. On my first term Algebra paper I got 48 out of 75 marks that makes exactly 64 p.c. Fr. Leslie asked me twice both in the study hall and the refectory how much did I score in my paper and I said 64. One fine Sunday evening during the tea break in the refectory Fr. Leslie gave me my Rs. 100 back and told me to give it to my mom. I gave it to her and she said she did not have any money and that it would come in handy. That was one of my achievements.

Sachin Tendulkar
Sachin the name synonymous with Cricket. A batsman second only to Donald Bradman. The best cricketer India has ever produced and will ever produce. He is an idol for many. He began his international career at the raw age of 16. Since then he has never looked back. When he first started playing Don Bradman saw him play and said he plays like me and he invited him over. What an honor from someone so great. Sachin Tendulkar as a child played a lot of cricket. He often said to him self "Sachin Tedulkar the greatest batsman in the whole world" and he rightly is the greatest this generation has ever seen. The many ODI records to his name include Most runs 17,000+, Most 50's = 91, Most 100's = 45, 1,000 runs in a calendar year in 1994 1996 1997 1998 2000 2003 and 2007, Most man of the matches 59, Most man of the series 14, Most 100's in a calendar year 9, Continuous appearances 185 and most 4's 1840.
No wonder he will stay a legend for eternity. I doubt there will be any like him for generations to come.
There was a Don Bradman. There is a Sachin Tendulkar.

Mountaineer
Have you ever seen a mountaineer climbing up a mountain? While he climbs up a mountain he does not look down on the valley below from where he started his journey. He does not look up at the birds that are flying above him. Neither does he pay any attention to the wind that is blowing against him. Think about it. There are millions of things happening in the world but his focus is on the highest point of that mountain.
When he gets there he not only achieves his goal but he can see the whole world form that point. So if you have a goal what should be your focus. Not the many problems you have in front of you. Not what other people say or think about you. Don't look at your circumstances they are temporary. Don't pay attention to your feelings. They are the most deceiving things you know. All you have to do is look up, stand up and walk.

Freedom from Bad Habits
Everyone I know have a few bad habits that they struggle with. For some it could be nothing but an addiction. Cigarrette smoking, alcohol, drugs, masterbation, pornography, watching loads of T.V. etc. For some it may be cursing or biting nails, overeating, oversleeping, laziness or whatever. I have news for you and for me too that there is a way out. Its all in the mind. If you think lazy thoughts you'll end up being lazy. If you think lustful thoughts you will end up becoming lustful. If you continuously think of video games you will end up being addicted to it. What we program our mind in doing thats what we'll end up doing. So what our part is to change our focus on the opposite of our current bad habits. If we are alcoholics then we must shift our gear into thinking of ourselves as neat. Guess what thats exactly whats going to happen. If we are addicted to porn then we need to think of ourselves as clean and thats what we will end up being. Seek yourself and see what we can do about it. Its rather plain and simple. Its all in the mind and you can control your thoughts and you will eventually control your habits.
Psalm 23
The Lord is my Shepherd
I shall not want
He makes me lie down in green pastures
He leads me beside quite waters
He restores my soul
He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake
Even though I walk
throught the valley of the shadow of death
I will fear no evil
for you are with me
your rod and your staff
they comfort me
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemines
You anoint my head with oil
my cup overflows
Surely Goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
forver.

My Dream Team
South Africa is my all time favorite cricket team since the time Kepler Wessels was captain. He led South Africa in the 1992 Cricket world cup. They had just entered the International cricket world after a 20 year ban was lifted off of them. They weren't allowed to play international cricket because of the apartheid policy. When they did enter they came with a bang winning most of the matches they played. The one event strikes in my mind is the way Jonty Rhodes who was debuting ran out Inzamam Ul Haq. That was cricket no one ever saw before.

Know what you want!
Farhan Akhtar, the name synonymous with success. Farhan Akhtar who wrote and directed flicks like Dil Chahta hai, Lakshya and Don has been an inspiration to me. Farhan Akhtar who left college mid-way and did nothing for two years but simply stayed at home. When anyone asked him what he was doing he'd probably answer "Nothing" and he'd add "I don't know what to do". I went through that phase of just enjoying life without knowing what to do. I spent about 6 years of my life not knowing what to do. I did menial jobs here. Worked for a few days and then leave without even taking my pay. I was basically lazy but I now know that one has to really know for sure what he wants out of life. Lakshya, the movie directed by Farhan actually spoke about his own life where he did nothing and had no aim in life. The basic message to life is to know what you want and focus your soul into it. My bet is that you will not be far from achieving what you are after.
Diwali
Diwali being the festival of lights reminds us that beetween the battle of good and the bad. It is always the good that wins. We have seen it in history itself. The 100 year war between France and England where France won. The WWI and WWII where the allies won over the axis powers. What is interesting to note that at first the evil side always seems to win the battle. But surely and justly it is always the Righteous who wins. Diwali is a time in the year when Rama Killed Ravan and showed that the good always triumphs over evil. Therefore, light overpowers the darkness. May this Diwali bring joy and prosperity to all I know and love. And espcially for those who have taken the time to read my blog. A very happy Diwali to one and all.
